Bus Service During Spring Thaw

  • The first bus on Friday will leave the hotel at 6:45 pm, going directly to the Cuff Complex in time for the country-western dance lessons, and then back to the Hotel.  From 7:30–10:30 pm on Friday, the bus will loop from the Hotel to Medgar Evars Pool, and other participating locations.  After 10:30 pm, the Pool will be dropped from the schedule.
  • On Saturday morning, bus loop is from the Hotel to the Lunch Cruise.  After the Cruise, bus loops will go both between the Hotel/Cruise, and the Hotel/Cuff Complex/Steamworks route, until all attendees on the cruise have been picked up.  On Saturday night after 8:00 pm, the bus loops continuously between the Hotel, the Cuff Complex, and Steamworks.
  • Last bus each night leaves from the Cuff Complex at 2:30 am.

Getting to the Hotel from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport

  • Link Light Rail costs $2.75 each way and is available directly from SeaTac Airport, leaving every 10-15 minutes and takes about 35 minutes.  Exit at University Street Station, and the Renaissance Hotel is just 5 blocks away.
  • Bus service costs $4.75 each way, takes an hour, and requires one transfer and a 6 block walk.  Be aware that the buses in Seattle can get quite crowded making carrying luggage on the bus a rather trying experience.  See the Metro Trip Planner.
  • Downtown Airporter costs $12.50 per person each way, leaves the airport every 30 minutes, and takes about 50 minutes but goes directly to the hotel.
  • Taxi Service costs around $40.  Follow signs from baggage claim — you'll take the skybridge to the fourth floor of the parking garage, then to the third floor for the taxis.  Don’t forget to buckle up!
  • Shuttle service is available for $15 one way, or $25 round trip if you book in advance.  See ShuttleExpress.com for details.

Amtrak

  • If you're coming from Vancouver or Portland, the train may be a better option than flying.  King Street Station is about a mile from the hotel.  Check Amtrak for details.

Driving

  • Driving from the South: take exit 164A to Madison Street and turn left.  The hotel is on the corner of Madison and 6th.
  • Driving from the North: take exit 164 to 6th St.  Turn left on Cherry, left on 7th, and left again on Madison.  The hotel is on the corner of Madison and 6th.

Getting Around Seattle

On-site valet parking is available at the Renaissance Hotel, at their regular rate of $36 per day.  You may want to explore nearby parking garages and surface lots for lower rates.

Street parking in downtown Seattle and on Capitol Hill can be a challenge on a good night.  Consider using the bus system, carpooling, or taking a taxi!  (Or even walk, if the weather is nice!)  Most locations you want to go to are only a few dollars ride away from each other.
